Each of our programs has different referral requirements—self‑referral, GP, or other agencies. Our referral form will direct you to the correct pathway.
South Coastal Health & Community Services
If you require immediate support, please contact:

Clinical Services
Clients can self-refer for all appointment types at SHQ, however there are a few ways GPs can help clients access some appointments more efficiently.

SHQ Counselling
You do not need a referral to make an appointment with the Counselling Service.
Please note that a GP referral is required to access a Medicare Mental Health Treatment plan.
Telehealth appointments are available and we also offer interpreter support.

SHQ Disability Counselling and Education
Anyone can submit a referral to SHQ’s Disability Counselling Service, including self-referrals, referrals from parents and carers, allied professionals and other health professionals, disability service providers and educators.
